AAIN adopts a Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA) which encourages the conviction of people living in poverty (PLiP), women, Dalits and other marginalised people to ask questions, claim rights, make decisions and hold institutions to account. It reaffirms the role of popular struggles, social justice movements and civil society actions for rights conscientiousness conscientisation and the transformation of unequal power relations.
