World Day Against Child Labour

World Day Against Child Labour

Nepal Labour Force Survey 2008/09 depicts that an estimated 3.14 million (40.4%) children are working in employment out of the total of 7.7 million children between 5 and 17 years of age. Among them, half fall under the category of child labour, which is likely to impact their education, health and social development.

During this difficult time of the COVID-19 pandemic, children are often the first to suffer from the ongoing economic and labour market crisis. Let us protect them both from the pandemic and from child labour, as we all know that they are the future of tomorrow.
